How to be good at coding A/B tests with Jeroen Wiersma

Here’s an excerpt:

“What I see a lot of companies doing is that specifically, the more really complicated tests where you have a lot of data and it’s really surface side is fine. But on 10, they also run blindside test next to that, that are less complicated and simply more cost effective to implement it yourself. So even as a mature company, why not go the cost effective route? So I definitely both both have their ways. And I really think it depends on the company. It’s a client side testing is simply more cost effective and server side testing is more expensive with a little bit higher quality, a little bit lower risk.”

Nurturing an Experimentation culture by focusing on the process with Specsavers’ Melanie Kyrklund

Melanie Kyrklund

Nurturing an Experimentation Culture is often not easy. Beyond requiring buying, tooling, and know-how - oftentimes Experimentation is seen as a chore rather than the essential decision-making approach that it is. New Experimentation hires often have a hard time convincing others to take their advice to heart. Experiment Nation spoke to Specsavers' Melanie Kyrklund about her thoughts and she had this to say.

"...focus on becoming a valuable business partner first and foremost. Demonstrate to your stakeholders a deep understanding of their business, marketing, and product goals and proactively help them to achieve them via experimentation. This will enable broader discussions about ways of working.”
